Equipment
Silicone spatulas make getting every last bit out of the pan easier
A heavy based saucepan is essential
I set this in an 8x8 inch square baking tin
Instructions
Blitz 1 pack Tim Tams to crumbs and mix with the melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased and lined 8x8 inch square tin. Refrigerate.
Chop the other pack of Tim Tams into chunks and set aside.
In a large saucepan over low heat, stir the condensed milk, sugar, butter and glucose until all melted together and smooth
Increase the heat a little to low-medium and stir constantly until bubbles start to appear. Once you see bubble, continue simmering for about 5-6 minutes until it thickens.
Turn the heat down to low and quickly add the chocolate, stirring well until completely melted.
Take the fudge off the heat and add the milo, vanilla and salt then. Stir really well until all combined (if it’s not completely smooth, that’s ok).
Now mix in most of the chopped Tim Tams, holding back a handful. Spread the fudge mix over the base and sprinkle the handful of leftover tim tams over the top.
Refrigerate for 3 hrs before chopping into squares
Notes
For best results you should always weigh ingredients like flour and sugar. Kitchen scales are relatively cheap but if you can’t weigh the ingredients, use the spoon and level method (don’t scoop).
