Quick and easy and perfect for topping everything from cheesecake to waffles to ice cream
Cornflour / cornstarch
Pit the cherries
Use a knife to cut all the way round, then twist the cherry apart and pull out the pit.
Add all the ingredients (except cornflour) to a saucepan. Dissolve the sugar and bring to a boil
Cook until the cherries are soft and the syrup is starting to thicken.
Add the cornflour until desired consistency.
Serve and enjoy!
