Rich and comforting, spaghetti bolognese is known, and loved, the world over.
Start with the 'soffritto'
Combine carrot, celery, onion and garlic in a pan and saute.
Meat and wine
Brown the meat then pour in some red wine
Add everything else
Add all the remaining ingredients and give it a good stir.
Let it slow cook...
Now be patient while it slow cooks away for 2 hours - stir every half an hour
...until it's thick
When it's nice and thick and the liquid has reduced, the bolognese sauce is ready.
Now add the spaghetti
Cook up some spaghetti (or any pasta) according to the packet, then coat it in the meat sauce.
Serve and enjoy!
