Prawn Sliders with Sriracha Mayonnaise make the perfect party food. Perfect grilled, lightly spiced prawns fill these little rolls, topped with a spicy mayo.
So I’ve got something a little different on the menu today – Prawn Sliders with Sriracha Mayo. These are fresh, summery and light and perfect for a party starter.
Remember how Paul Hogan talked about throwing a “shrimp on the barbie”? I never really understood why because, in Australia, we call them prawns but they’re exactly the same thing so, meh! And a “barbie” well that’s Aussie slang for a barbecue.
Let me take you on a little journey just for a moment. The sun is shining, and you’re sitting back enjoying a warm, lazy afternoon with friends – but you gotta feed these people.
Something light, something summery, something like these Prawn Sliders with Sriracha Mayonnaise.
Plump, juicy prawns are lightly seasoned and fresh off the grill. Quick and simple but full of flavour they sit atop fresh green salad leaves, avocado, a spritz of lime and then a drizzle of sweet and spicy mayo.
Sliders are such a brilliant party food due to both their size and versatility. You can make mini beef burgers, Chinese style pork or seafood just like these here. They’re the perfect size to start a relaxed, afternoon meal and they’re easy to eat with one hand. All very important things when you have a cocktail in one hand.
They’re also such a simple snack to make. Everything can be made ahead of time with just the prawns being grilled or fried at the last minute (and they take literally minutes).
Prawns, shrimps it doesn’t matter what you call them, just make up some Prawn Sliders, a bit of Sriracha Mayo on the side, and serve them up. Then enjoy that sunshine.

I love shrimp/prawn anything, and these look fantastic, especially with the addition of the sriracha mayo! You rock friend!
Thanks Trang. Me too. Prawns are my favourite seafood and they take other flavours on really well.
